Air Ring Gauges
These provide the quickest way to measure shafts for Diameter, Parallelism and ovality to a high degree of accuracy. The shaft can be scanned for slight variation which would be difficult to detect using conventional comparators.
Off-set jets permit measurements to be made close to the shoulder. Miniature rings are hand held. Standard rings may be bench mounted, connected to the unit direct or with a 90° adaptor, or hand held with the Universal Adaptor handle. Air Ring gauges with solid Tungsten Carbide Inserts can be supplied to give extended wear life.

Note
Max range for standard rings from:
- 6,00 - 9,65mm diameter is 0,05 mm.
- 0.23 6 - 0.380in diameter is 0.002in.
Max range for larger sizes is 0.100mm/0,004in
Gauges are normally made to suit the component tolerance.
Setting Plug Gauges
These are used for setting air ring gauges and callipers. Larger plug sizes are supplied as single ends.
